ONE SIMPLE IDEA.
Creator of Pick My Next Game
Hi, I’m Leif
I’m Leif Aspbäck, the creator of Pick My Next Game. I have been playing games across many genres for nearly 30 years, and I built this site to turn an overwhelming choice into a few useful recommendations.

- The 1990s

- ARK experience
- Thousands of hours
A lifetime of playing
Games have been part of my life since childhood. MMORPGs became especially important to me: I started World of Warcraft when it was originally released and went on to explore many different online worlds.
The worlds I return to
ARK: Survival Evolved became one of those rare games that held my attention for thousands of hours. I have also played Entropia Universe since 2005, and it is still the game I spend the most time with today.
Why raiding and teamwork kept me playing World of Warcraft Why PvE base building is the heart of Once Human for me Why tanks, ships and tactics keep me playing War Thunder Why I still play Entropia Universe after more than 20 years What 3,000 hours in ARK: Survival Evolved taught meThe question behind the site
Why I built Pick My Next Game
In my Discord community, one of the most common questions has always been: “What should I play next?” With thousands of games available, finding the right one can take longer than it should. Pick My Next Game is my attempt to make that decision easier: tell the finder what you play on and what kind of experience you want, then get a focused shortlist instead of another endless catalogue.
Spend less time scrolling and more time playing.
Experience, not a universal verdict
My years with MMOs, survival games and many other genres help shape the practical fit guides on this site. The recommendations combine that human perspective with transparent catalogue matching. They are designed to help you decide—not to claim that one game is objectively best for everyone.

You can use the game finder without registering. If you allow preference storage, your choices are saved only in this browser.
How the project is funded
The service may use clearly labelled advertising and affiliate links. Paid content will always be identified and will never be presented as an independent recommendation.
With thanks to IGDB
The data that makes discovery possible
Pick My Next Game uses game data from IGDB to connect titles with platforms, genres, themes and the way people feel like playing. A sincere thank you to the IGDB team for providing the rich catalogue that makes this project possible.
The catalogue is stored and served by Pick My Next Game, so using the finder does not make a direct IGDB API request from your browser.

The catalogue includes 168,637 released PC and console games across IGDB's available release history. Features and catalogue coverage continue to improve as the service is developed.
